- Conservatory

The Conservatory
of Flowers is a spectacular, living museum of rare and beautiful
tropical plants including palms, orchids, bromeliads, carnivorous
plants, and much more. It originally opened in 1879. It was
damaged in a powerful windstorm in December, 1995, and reopened eight
years later in 2003 after major repairs. It is prominently
situated in the eastern end of Golden Gate Park.
